The hosts Sandy and Ali were first class. We were welcomed onto their property by 3 collies, a pony, a horse and several chickens (The good life) , amazing and all so friendly i was later to find out! Sandy was away for most of our stay but Ali was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for her, telling as top notch places to visit. The breakfasts every morning were great, the variety wouldn't be out of place in a five star hotel in fact you wouldn't have got such good produce in a five star hotel. The only issue was it was too short but we will be back hopefully next year. Thanks again Ali for the 5 star service read less

The Croft is ideal for... read moreA very warm  welcome awaits you at Ali and Sandys place!  A very cozy base with peat stove and well equipped kitchen.  The Croft is ideal for exploring Lewis and Harris, and there are also lovely walks in the immediate area. There also a very nice  small bay at the bottom of the Croft in which you can swim, Ali and Sandy very kindly gave us hints for swimming the area. 
 
 Croft produce is unbelievable quality and I would strongly recommend ordering in advance of your stay. We certainly will should we be fortunate enough to stay with Sandy and Ali again.
 All in all a perfect stay, with more than we need and lots of collie hugs throughout our time there. Our hosts were lovely and knowledgable of the area and happy to share insight into crofting life, which was very interesting.
 
 
 A small word of warning though, you won’t want to leave, and the quality of produce will ruin you for anything else you taste elsewhere. read less
